Will the USBASP supports 8051 microcontrollers.

Some people have written custom softwares and configuration files so as to make USBasp support AT89S52.

Yes…the USB asp is now available with modified firmware which supports the 89S series of Microcntrollers too. Look at this thread on EDA board.com

brilliant work on the board..thanks alot..got the USBasp also..i bought an unsoldered pcb also..where can i find a list of components..want to practise precision soldering on it..

Will I get the connectors/cables to connect USBASP to target board along with USBASP @Rs270 or will I have to buy it separately like the one at http://extremeelectronics.co.in/shop?

you will get the FRC cable connector to connect USBasp to breadboard/avr. However USB cable to connect this hardware to PC is not supplied. You can buy that cable (USB printer cable) from any computer shop.
